This was my very first time attending Holy Week services at an Orthodox Church and I must say that it’s one of the most beautiful things I have ever experienced in my life. Anyway, the services of Holy Thursday were most touching because I heard some hymns of Judas’ betrayal. I did and said somethings that hurt my family and I feel really sad for it. I know I should be happy because tonight is the celebration of Holy Pascha. I am happy but I’m starting to see what areas in my life are in need of improvement and that is why repentance gives me joy and hope. One priest in his homily said that the reason why we cross ourselves or ask a priest for a blessing is to remind us that we never do things in haste. Sometimes, I have said and done things in haste that hurt other people.

Please pray for me. I hope you all have a blessed Pascha. Christ is risen! Indeed he is!!

    Christ is Risen!
I know what you’re going through is hard, but I can see a lot of beauty in it too. Realising the things you have done that you need to work on or change is so challenging, but it comes from a good place. I’ve been considering those things as well. I think it helps me to become more Christ-like – I stop and think about how I am interacting with others and see if I think it’s how God would want me to. It’s a beautiful and difficult journey 🙂

Also, congratulations for attending your first Holy Week/Pascha! It is beautiful, you are so right 🙂 Hopefully there will be many, many more for you in the future!

Christ is Risen! Truly, He is Risen!
